MS PowerPoint and Zoom
Powerpoint has been around for many years and we can assist you on how to use it. We also use ZOOM for online meetings, webinars and presentations. When using ZOOM for meetings or webinars, you can record them, share screens, see and hear your participants, text each other, play videos, and share files. Moreover, using the two programs together provides a powerful tool for business, teaching, and social communications.
Microsoft Office Software
For routine office work, we support Microsoft's Office Suite programs. While otherprograms may be as good or better, we support the MS Office programs for the following reasons:
they are the most widely used in Canada and the U.S.
they integrate with each other, and
integration adds greater productivity to a small or medium size business
Accounting Software
Many accounting programs are available for Canadian small and mid-size businesses. We specialize with the following:
QuickBooks Desktop by Intuit, and
QuickBooks Online by Intuit
I am a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and most of my my clients use QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online. Both programs handle the accounting needs for most small to mid-size businesses, corporations, estates, trusts, and not-for-profit organizations. QuickBooks also offers an integrated Canadian Payroll program that is optional for an additional fee. However, some QuickBooks users may opt for a standalone payroll program or service and import the totals into QuickBooks.
U.S. accounting programs are designed for U.S. markets and may not be able to handle our Goods and Services Tax , nor our payrolls. So ensure that the accounting program you buy can handle your Canadian accounting and tax needs.
